Traditional Kerala Recipe

Neyyar Palada Payasam Mix helps you prepare an authentic Kerala dessert with rich taste and perfect texture, just like homemade palada payasam.

Ingredients

  • Neyyar Palada Payasam Mix – 100 g
  • Milk – 1 litre
  • Sugar – 150–200 g (adjust to taste)
  • Ghee – 1 tablespoon
  • Cashew nuts & raisins – optional

Preparation Method

  1. Boil 1 litre of milk in a thick-bottomed vessel.
  2. Reduce the flame and slowly add Neyyar Palada Payasam Mix, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  3. Cook on low flame for 20–25 minutes, stirring often, until the palada becomes soft and the milk thickens.
  4. Add sugar, mix well, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add cashew nuts and raisins fried in ghee (optional).
  6. Switch off the flame and allow it to rest for a few minutes.
  7. Serve hot or chilled, as preferred.

Tips for Best Taste

  • Always cook on a low flame for authentic Kerala flavor.
  • Stir continuously for a smooth and creamy consistency.
  • Do not add water.
